HAFAD is an independent organisation promoting equality for disabled people. It provides high quality services and campaigns to remove artificial barriers to develop opportunity, choice, control and independence.

Welcome to our website.  Use it to stay up to date about everything HAFAD related.

HAFAD is open during the usual office hours but our reception phone line is only answered between 10am and 1pm and then between 2pm and 4pm. You can leave a message outside these times and someone will call you back.

Memories of Dave Morris

Dave Morris was Director of HAFAD from 1999 to 2003. His early death came as a great shock to his friends and colleagues here. We have put together some of our memories of Dave as Director, as a leader in the disability movement and as a man.

Summer Youth Scheme

This is our biggest Youth Scheme of the year, starting Monday 2nd August until Friday 27th August. Open day will be Thursday 26th August. Lots of skilled activities planned, sports, kitchen workshops, table tennis, table football, boccia, art workshops, day outings, music workshops, softball, yoga, art workshops, discussions, computers ... Also we are going to prepare the parade in the Thames Carnival making an illuminated river! Come and join in the fun!!!
